Best Friends Testimonials 〰️

I became a monthly donor after reading about a hero pittie who saved his human’s grandchildren from a copperhead, and discovered that Frankie’s Friends helped people who can’t pay for a life-sizing procedure for their pet. Having experienced the panic, pain, and guilt of facing an insurmountable vet bill myself, I wanted to do what I could to prevent others from having to make that same decision. I’m not wealthy and my recurring donation isn’t large, but I can do something consistently, and monthly donations make it possible for Frankie’s Friends to have a dependable income base so that they know what they can give to people and animals who need their help.

I think the pets in my life currently and that have passed have made my life more whole. We have had cats with renal stones and renal failure, dogs with pancreatitis, diabetes, and double ACL tears, a guinea pig with an infected skin tumor, and another dog with lymphoma. We have been lucky enough to be able to afford the care for them if desired or comfort measures if they needed them. I have always given monthly because I think it just makes life more meaningful to be able to help someone else help their fur-family member they love, like we do ours.

We started giving to Frankie’s Friends after our beloved French bulldog Julep was very sick and had to be hospitalized for a few days.  We were able to cover the expense but during our many visits and waits at the vet we kept thinking about other families that may not be so fortunate and noticed the Frankie’s Friends sign. She ultimately recovered and came home to live a long happy life, but we keep making a monthly donation to try to help in a small way the others who love their pets as much as we loved our Julep❤️

I decided to establish a recurring donation after my sweet black kitty Fifi lost her battle with cancer.  We were lucky enough to have the resources to do everything we could to help her fight, right to the very end.  I am so thankful that we didn’t have to decide against treatment due to finances.  Fifi was a loving kitty.  She would want me to help give others the same chance to fight for their pet.

I am a recurring Frankie's Friends donor because of our cat, Jinx. In October of 2022, he suddenly stopped eating & drinking & became very lethargic. We took him to Blue Pearl  an Emergency Vet here in Tampa, & they had to give him fluids & a blood transfusion. He ended up staying for 2 nights so they could run tests & the final bill was rather hefty. OK, we have the means to pay for stuff like that, but I started wondering about the pet parents who don't.

BluePearl told us about Frankie's Friends & I signed up as soon as I could.

Thank you for your good work!

I became a recurring donor to Frankie's Friends after learning about the charity and its mission while my cat was undergoing cancer treatments at a participating hospital. I was fortunate enough to be able to afford my pet's treatment, but my heart broke thinking of people who didn't have that choice. Donating to Frankie's Friends is an important part of my life - it helps me keep my cat's memory alive and I feel good knowing I am helping families access life-saving care for their furry family members.

We donate so that another family doesn’t need to waive life saving surgery for their beloved pet due to lack of funds.

When Connor was diagnosed with a ruptured pancreas it was pretty much described to us that the expensive surgery would most likely not save his life.  Cancer was almost assured.  It was suggested we should put him down.  Thankfully, we could go ahead with surgery.  The surgery was successful, the cancer was benign, and Connor was cured.  That week was so traumatic, and I can’t believe how close we were to letting him go.  We donate in Connor’s name to spare another family the possible loss of a loved one simply because they can’t afford the vet bill.

My wife and I have been contributing to Frankie’s Friends for quite some time. Though we are monthly contributors, we donate to additional campaigns throughout the year.

Several years ago our female Miniature Schnauzer became very ill and we took her to one of the emergency care facilities. The doctor suggested multiple tests and for her to stay at the facility. The cost was about $1,600.00 per day. Fortunately I had a position which allowed me to take care of her.

The reason for my monthly contribution is that I know how much love and joy dogs bring to our lives and wouldn’t want a family to lose a loved family member due to lack of financial resources. Even though I am now retired it is important to maintain my monthly donation.

I am a recurring donor because when my kitten needed emergency surgery, the cost was more than I could afford as a single mom.  The stress of figuring out what to do, feeling like I was between a rock and a hard place, was overwhelming.  The grant from Frankie's Friends enabled the care Jack needed to survive.  Every purr, snuggle or impish action since has been a gift, and I want to give that gift to others who might be in the same situation.
