Thank you so much for your help. Willie was just short of three years old when he contracted lymphoma. While Willie is not technically a rescue dog, I am his second owner due to his first owner's problems in properly caring for him. Of course, every dog owner has the best pooch in the world, and I am no exception. Willie is smart, handsome, obedient (most of the time), popular with other dogs, playful, athletic, and the most affectionate male dog I have ever known. He has a number of friends, is rarely alone, and now has had a good life. He's responded very well to his early chemo treatments, has shown no suffering and only occasionally a little lethargy. He's had no other health problems, so I see a future for him, however long it may be.
