I cannot begin to thank every one at Frankie's Friends for their generosity and kindness in helping me with the cost of Midnight (Missy's) chemotherapy. When Missy was diagnosed with advanced lymphoma I was is complete disbelief. Just the week before I had to put my 12 year old sheltie, Kassie, to sleep for an inoperable tumor in her chest. I just kept thinking, I had done every thing a pet owner should do, regular vet visits, heartworm prevention, flea control, good food and lots of love, so how could this be happening? When Missy and I went to BluePearl I was given hope with a price, a price I knew I could never afford. How could I save my little girl? I kept thinking that its just not right that her life depended on money. Through my tears Dr. Kane gave me information on some organizations out there that might help with funding Missy's treatment, Frankie's Friends was one of them. Missy has had 3 treatments to date, they are getting harder on her but the tumors are shrinking! Every night I pray for her and all of the other pets and owners going through this same pain as us. I have so much I've been worrying about. Just last week I was told by my own doctor that I have a mass on my left lung, a PET scan is scheduled for next week. It is so comforting to know that paying for Missy's medicine is a worry that I can put on the back burner for now. Words can never express the gratitude that I have in my heart...God Bless you, you have given Missy the chance at beating the odds and allowing her to live and enjoy life, because of you, I now have hope.
Thank You Again!
