HOW TO MAKE A GIFT OF LIFE INSURANCE

If you have a whole or universal life insurance policy that has outlived it’s original purpose (e.g., providing for minor children who are now financially independent,) you may wish to consider making a gift of that policy to Frankie’s Friends. 

Benefits of naming Frankie’s Friends as the irrevocable owner and beneficiary of the Life Insurance policies: 

  • Receive a charitable contribution income tax deduction each time you make a premium payment

  • For a cashed out policy, your charitable income tax deduction will equal the cash value up to the basis in the policy as determined by a qualified appraisal

  • For a policy retained to maturity, the proceeds will be paid to Frankie’s Friends to help us save more pets’ lives

How to Make a Gift of Life Insurance

To make a gift of life insurance, please contact your life insurance provider, request a beneficiary designation form and include Frankie’s Friends as the beneficiary of your policy.
