Vet Care for Rescues GRANT PROGRAM
Frankie's Friends is committed to helping family-owned pets in need of lifesaving emergency and specialty veterinary care. That will never change. However, we know there are also rescue groups dedicated to helping animals without families to care for them, too. In light of the increasing amount of animals in shelters suffering from treatable conditions without receiving the veterinary care needed to save their lives, we have created The Vet Care for Rescues Grant Program.
The Vet Care for Rescues Grant Program is a resource for approved rescue organizations to apply for financial assistance. The grant program will help domestic animals suffering from life-threatening medical conditions and facing potential euthanasia in shelters to receive the veterinary care needed to give them a chance at life in loving forever families. This program is specifically for rescue organizations willing to pull pets in need of medical care from shelters, provide them with safe foster homes, follow up medical care during their recovery, and find them forever homes once their medical needs have been addressed.
* While we wish we could help every rescue that applies, in order to make the most impact with the funds we have available for this program, the number of rescues accepted to participate will be very limited. *
** The Vet Care for Rescues Grant Program is separate from the Hope Fund and National Fund programs we offer for family-owned pets in need of financial assistance for their pets’ care. To learn more about programs for families in need of help, or to apply for funding for your own pet, click here. **
The program consists of two steps.
First, the rescue must apply for consideration and be approved to participate.
Then, after acceptance into the program, the rescue can apply for assistance for a specific pet in need. Only approved rescues will be considered for funding.
This grant program is not open to the general public, individual foster parents, or animals found by good samaritans looking for help with veterinary care.
