Dear Friends,
It is with a mixture of relief and hope that my beautiful little girl and I express our great thanks to you for providing funding for treatment of her nasal lymphoma. Without it, I would not have been able to get her the help she so desperately needs.
I have had a lot of personal and financial ups and downs over the past decade, but the one constant in my life during that time has been the furry little beastie I found ten years ago living under a trailer in New Jersey. Whatever else has been going on, I knew I would always find her waiting patiently (and sometimes not so patiently!) for me when I got home. Although she can demonstrate that typical aloofness cats do so well, whenever she comes to cuddle next to me or try to groom me like a littermate, I know that her affection for me is real. Plus, she knows she has me wrapped around her paw...which of us goes out every day to make money to pay for kibble and cleans the litter box???
Daph has been on steroids for the past two weeks as a stop-gap measure while we were figuring out what our treatment options are. The funding comes just in time, as the effectiveness of the steroids has worn off and her symptoms have returned full force. We need to begin treatment as soon as possible, and now we will be able to do that.
I am attaching some pictures of my little beauty who has brought love and warmth into my life, and who will hopefully be with me for a long time to come.
Again, thank you so very much for giving our family a chance for hope here at the holidays. We wish the very best to you and all your loved ones.
Warmly,
Melody and Daphne
