Those of us who are pet owners realize what vital members of the family our pets are. We care for them like children, and just like a parent, feel helpless when they're sick and we can't ease their pain. I recently experienced one of these terrible moments, and without the help of Dr. Amanda Owen, BluePearl, and the financial assistance from Frankie's Friends, my Piper wouldn't be here.
A visit to the E.R. is frightening, and entering the doors not knowing if you can afford to help your sick pup is heartbreaking. I am so grateful for the support Frankie's Friends provided me when I had nowhere to turn. It never crossed my mind that such an incredible organization was out there, let it alone it would help change my life.
