Sophia Rose and I live in the area of the recent Thomas fire. Due to the fire my work place was with in a Mandatory evacuation zone and I was subsequently out of work for over a month. This happened not only at Christmas time but right after Sophie had just had a surgery done to remove the tumor that told us she has Melanoma. That surgery cost nearly $1000.00 so I was already not doing great financially and then the fire putting me out of work has spun my finances out of control and I have not been able to catch up!
Sophia Rose and I have been together for almost a decade now. She is truly my best friend. She has always been there for me when I'm down and she always rejoices with me when I'm up. I know everyone says that their dog is the best dog but I had a dog walking business for three years ( Sophie LOVED that :)) so I have a LOT of experience with dogs and she is everything I could ever want in a dog. She is such a good and sweet girl and even though she has cancer you would not had known it until recently.
Usually she is tossing her toys around, playing outside trying to get the gophers or loving on me. Lately all she does is sleep and you can see she does not feel good. I have reached out to nearly a dozen organizations and foundations and I just keep praying that the grace of God will bless Sophia with another chance at being a playful and frisky pup again and me with the gift of her in my life for a bit more. As you can imagine it has been really hard to watch her decline from her usual energetic self.
You are the amazing kindhearted people that decided to help and you truly are mine and Sophia Rose's heroes now until the end of time! I now have close to half of what I need. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for choosing to be a part of making such a beautiful thing happen! You have answered my prayers. We thank you from the depths of our hearts! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! thank you!
