“The support from Frankie’s Friends means so much to me during this tragic situation that happened to my little Eddie. I have had my little Eddie since he was 2 years old. I ended up getting him from a friend who could no longer give him the time he needed. I was recently a “empty nester” and felt the time I had was perfect for him. He is truly my best friend and when I woke up on Saturday to give him his breakfast I saw that his eye was not normal. I panicked and took him to my nearest veterinary hospital with the heartbreaking news that his right eye needed to be removed as he lost his vision and there was no hope for saving his vision. When the veterinarian told me the estimated cost I knew that at this time I just could not fit that in my budget as I just started to receive my retirement income. I was referred to our local animal humane to seek treatment and was given a quote and now seeking any financial help that I can. I know this will not be the end for his life changing situation that he is about to endure. With any help from your foundation Eddie can have his eye surgery and now start to begin his new life with limited vision but I promise I will give him all the love and care he is going to need to adjust to his limited vision.
