Frankie’s Friends helped Mochi receive emergency surgery for hip displacement in Memphis TN. This is a note from his family.

I adopted Mochi about a month after I graduated from college. I was chronically depressed and lacking meaning in my life. Mochi became something of a lifeline to me. I can remember one really bad day where I was extremely suicidal, ready to take my own life when I realized that if I didn’t come home that day... nobody would be able to explain to my dog what happened to me. That he might think that I gave him up or didn’t love him and that absolutely broke my heart. I hung in there for my little guy until I was strong enough to really commit to recovering. And I eventually did do a short hospitalization stay and have worked consistently with a counselor after leaving. What I’m trying to say is that for the last 5 years, my dog has been the love of my life, the one thing in this life that brings me immeasurable joy in ways nothing else can. And I’d do anything to save him and keep him protected. It’s literally the least I can do. He’s taught me more about love than anybody. So I am incredibly grateful to every single person who has donated in an effort to help me save him.
