Frankie’s Friends National Fund helped Calcifur receive perineal urethrostomy  surgery for a urinary tract obstruction. This is a note from his family.

My fur-son, Calcifur, means everything to me. My friend found him as a kitten in a box in a dumpster and I adopted him and raised him as my own. Your help means that I can continue to spend my days enjoying his excited meows as he runs up to greet me when I get home!

Calcifur is truly such a friendly, curious boy who loves attention from anyone who will love on him. Every time I go to the vet they tell me how sweet he was with them and other animals. At home he is playful, enjoying diving into bags and boxes alike! I always joke that he “helps” me work, because he always finds me when I am doing an activity and tries to take part.

When Calcifur stayed a couple of nights at the hospital, my apartment was significantly quiet and gloomier. I kept expecting to see him run around a corner to see what I’m up to, announcing his presence as usual. My sadness in his absence proved what I already knew—he is such a source of happiness and sunshine for me.

Thank-you so much, for giving my sunshine back to me. I will never forget the kindness shown to me and my boy.
