My cat Leo is going to be 3 years old next month. Back in December he was acting very out of character and during that time I picked up a second job so I wasn’t home as I usually am. I didn’t notice immediately that something was off about his behavior. One day he didn’t come running to me for his breakfast. If you ever met my cat you would know that food is his motivation. He’d barrage down doors just to eat a treat. That was when I decided that he was behaving unusual. I took him to the vet only to find out that he needed to go to the hospital due to a blockage. All I could think was he’s way too little for this. When I got there BluePearl provided me with answers and realistic expectations. I only knew that I wanted to do everything in my power to make sure he was treated for as long as it was treatable. When they told me the cost of everything my stomach dropped. I was terrified that they were going to give me the option that no pet owner wants to hear. The staff at BluePearl not once mentioned anything of that sort they just aided me through the process. They told me about Frankie’s Friends and what you all do for people like me. I never thought my 2 year old cat would end up in the hospital nor was I prepared financially to handle it. I was so grateful to hear about the assistance Frankie’s Friends offered to people like myself. Just everyday people who just aren’t in a financially strong place to be able to provide their pets with the surgery and treatments. It was a tough time for me those few days when he was in the hospital. I couldn’t really sleep. He’s been in my life since he was a kitten and the thoughts of him not being there were hard to imagine. Thanks to the financial assistance of Frankie’s Friends I got to get my baby the treatment and procedure to help him continue living a long life. There aren’t many words other than I’m forever grateful. I’ve been telling everyone about what kindness you all showed me. Now my cat is back to running through the house at 3 am and busting through doors for meal time. He bounced back like nothing happened. Though the 2-3 weeks of being conned was not fun - he’s a ninja - so we had our battles there but the surgery wound has healed nicely and he’s starting to grow the hair back on his bottom.

Thank you so much for your help and kindness. You guys do such great work for people like myself. It’s truly a universal blessing that there are people who care so much about the health and quality of animals lives and are willing to help others be able to afford it for their pets.
