Frankie’s Friends National Fund helped Sophie receive the emergency surgery she needed to treat Pyometra. This is a note from her family.

Hi there. There are no words I can find to describe the amount of gratefulness in our hearts. For my daughter this year has been rough following the pandemic now that her graduation was cancelled and two days after her birthday we were thrown with this unexpected situation. All her birthday and graduation money was used for exams and we know there is not enough money that is equal to the value of having a healthy pet. Not only are you saving our pet, but our family member and a significant piece of our family. It is absolutely heartbreaking to see how instead of playing fetch and chewing on things that aren’t toys, Sophie spends her afternoons laying down in puddles of blood. She is more than a pet she is the joy in our mornings, the one who still waves her tail at us despite being in aching pain, and the always happy doggy that keeps us going. We know death is a normal part of life, but we know this is not her time yet. So thank you for even taking the time to consider us, for reading this and understanding how much Sophie means to us. I would say this means the world to us, but it definitely means a lot more than the entire universe.
