Frankie’s Friends National Fund helped Lola receive the emergency surgery she needed for Insulinoma that her owner couldn’t afford due to COVID-19. This is a note from Lola’s family.

Thank you to those who helped save my baby. Lola is my miracle dog, she lost her mom at birth and then became mine. I bottle fed her every four hours and watched her become a strong fighter who was the runt in the litter. Lola has been with me the past 8 almost 9 years. In her time she has touched so many lives and to know her is to know love. Your help means I would be able to give to her what she gave to me. When I dealt with my brain tumor she always slept with me and made sure to wag her tail extra hard to make me smile. Now she needs me to help her with her tumor on her pancreas, those smiles she gave me got me out of bed. She needs her surgery to get out of bed. Lola is my emotional support animal and overall my family. Lola has never let me down in a moment of need, she has always been there to lick my tears and wiggled her way into any and everyone’s heart. Before surgery I had to check her blood sugar every 4 hours in the same increment as when I first met her and had to feed her, I would watch as her blood sugar was in the low 40’s. The regular is 80-120 Lola needed this surgery urgently and you all made it happen. You saved her, you gave us hope, you answered my prayer, you have blessed our family. At every corner it seemed like our options were getting closed down and that we were racing time as our baby girl waited helplessly and suffering. Thank you to the kind people that gave her the opportunity to make it past the fight of her life that is Insulinoma. Thank you to those who chose my to be the angels for my angel. Lola needed help and we felt that no one was giving her a chance, but you guys say hope in her eyes and knew that she was a fighter. Thank you for giving me more time with her family.
