Frankie’s Friends Hope Fund helped Buddy receive the eye surgery he needed for proptosis at BluePearl in KS Lee’s Summit. This is a note from Buddy’s family.
“We have a big dog Chief and then our little dog Buddy. Buddy and chief were playing around and I don’t know if he bit him or if his nail caught his him but he yelped, so I ran in to see what was happening and his eye looked like it was falling out. So we rushed to BluePearl animal hospital and they said they needed to remove his eye. We only had $200 on us at the time and didn’t know what we were going to do, and the vet said let him do some calling around and called me back and said there is a program called Frankie’s Friends that would help! We couldn’t believe it! It’s been a few weeks now and he’s doing great! His eye is pretty much all healed up. He’s out of his cone and loving it! Living his best life as a pirate dog as my kids call him now. Thank you so much for the help with Buddy! Our family appreciates it more than you know!
