Thank you so much to the folks at Frankie’s Friends for helping Shuri get the help that she needs. She hurt herself protecting home from a wild animal. I am a single mother living on a homestead in rural Alabama. Keeping our home safe is a high priority and Shuri seems to have been born knowing her job. She is always the first to let us know when someone is visiting. The first to check out noises in the woods and, I have to admit, the first to steal your chair when you get up.

When I woke up before dawn to hear her barking and growling, I knew something was wrong. By the time I got outside, I saw Shuri coming up the porch steps with her back leg dangling. She didn’t screech or cry, just bark. I am so grateful to have a member of our family who is so ready to help and I want to be able to show up for her the way she does for us.

Helping her to maintain a quality of life is key to the quality of life for our whole family.

Thank you for helping us in our time of need to ensure Shuri gets the best possible care with the best possible outcome. I look forward to paying this gift forward one day.
