Frankie’s Friends National Fund helped Blizzard receive emergency femoral head osteotomy surgery for luxation of her right hip. This is a note from Blizzard’s family.
“Blizzard is not just a pet she is our family, our healer, our emotional support. Right after my divorce, my children and I volunteered at a cat rescue center. Blizzard was a kitten at the facility that my children fell in love with. She has helped all of us adjusting to a new life and her fur has captured many tears.
When Blizzard was limping one morning we were very worried and brought her to Mission Animal Hospital which is a non-profit vet clinic. We were saddened to hear that she needs surgery and worse, we cannot afford it.
With your help, we can give Blizzard the surgery she needs to fix her back leg so that she can jump on the bed or couch and cuddle with us and, more importantly, not be in pain anymore.
We are so thankful for helping us give back to Blizzard all she has given us. If not for you, she will remain in pain or worse, we will have to put her to sleep which we don’t want to do.
You are a very special person to us - an angel to our family. Thank you just does not seem to be enough but will have to do along with many prayers of thanks to an angel for our family.”
