Frankie’s Friends National Fund helped Kai with lifesaving treatment so he could sustain severe internal injuries suffered after being hit by a car, that would allow further surgery to fix his broken leg. This is a note from Kai’s family.
“I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for taking the time to consider our application. Kai is my baby! As my children are getting older, being Kai’s mama has been life changing. He’s always by my side. In the last three years, Kai’s presence has been instrumental to the well being of my son’s mental health. My son, Cortez, suffers from chronic depression and severe anxiety. Kai helps my son tremendously. I think God sent him to us to help and comfort us. WE LOVE KAI!
The thought of not being able to help him through this is crushing. I have seen God’s hand through out this whole process. While we are still short funds, I can only pray that organizations like Frankie’s Friends can bridge the gap. It’s been amazing how at every corner, my prayers have been answered. I truly believe Kai is a miracle. He is our miracle!
