Frankie’s Friends Hope Fund helped Harlem receive the emergency surgery he needed for a fracture repair at BluePearl in Levittown, PA. This is a note from Harlem’s family.

Dear Frankie’s Friends,

My children Jaelynn and Darryl, our fur babies Harlem, Brooklyn and Bronx and myself would like to thank you once again. We are truly blessed by your kindness towards our family. This was a tough time for us and thankfully the doctors and all the staff at VSEC treated us so well. The care they gave to Harlem, I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I got Harlem as a gift for my son who asked for a dog since he was 5. I finally broke down to get him one as a surprise needless to say he’s now 14 lol. It took me forever but I finally was getting him one so that was all that mattered. Harlem is a rescue that we got when he was a few months old in July. We were extremely happy to welcome him into the family. A short time later in October our cat of 16 years had passed away VESC did her Cremation and it was a very rough and sad time for all of us.

I got UmI for My daughter Jaelynn First Born Day Party. My daughter will be 18 in May so she and my son were completely devastated. I finally talked her into getting another kitten she didn’t like it at all. She refused for several weeks. However I eventually explained that I too had a first cat that went to heaven but I loved other cats that I had just the same. Those cats didn’t take my first cat place and I loved those cats no more and no less.

We all have enough love to go around and we should share it as often as we can. I think we should give another cat a happy home and that’s what we did. One kitten was available but I wanted two so I could name them Brooklyn and Bronx. It worked out that the adoption for one fell apart and I was able to get both the girls and keep the sisters together.

Now back to Harlem - he is recovering nicely. He has round the clock nurses in all of us including nurse Brooklyn and nurse Bronx taking good care of him. He knows that he is loved and he is enjoying being even more spoiled now more than ever. Above all of us Harlem is the most thankful. This was his first week for 5 minute walks he was so excited and extremely happy. Before his surgery he was a very active puppy. He’s finally starting to come around and is walking pretty good.

We are all forever grateful.

With love,
— Harlem's Family
