Frankie’s Friends Hope Fund helped Atlas receive emergency hemilaminectomy surgery for intervertebral disc disease (IVDD) at BluePearl in Tacoma WA. This is a note from Atlas’ family.

We are so grateful for the grant that we received to help with Atlas’ surgery. Atlas is our 6-year-old dachshund who woke up one morning in pain and was not able to move his back legs and lost control of going to the bathroom on his own. It was very shocking for us because the night before he was running around and playing. We never would have been able to afford the surgery without the help from Frankie’s Friends. Without the surgery Atlas may not have been able to walk again and also would have been in a lot of pain. Atlas gets so excited when we ask him if he wants to go for a walk. He heads right to the door and waits for his harness and leash and proudly prances through the neighborhood. Now Atlas can still enjoy his favorite thing to do with his family. Thank you so much for helping us! We can’t thank the donors enough for this support!
