Frankie’s Friends National Fund helped Zen receive the life changing surgery he needed for a liver shunt. This is a note from Zen’s family.

I was surprised with Zen during the pandemic to cheer me up during such a devastating time. The Covid-19 pandemic caused me to lose my job, while still attending college. I was extremely excited to adopt Zen. He was a very playful, happy puppy.

My pet means everything to me and it hurts that his breeder was not honest about his birth parents’ health history. My dog takes three different medications, two are taken two times a day and one is taken three times a day. He is also on a very strict diet. I imagine everyday what it would be like for him to be completely healthy and to not have to go to the vet several times throughout the year. It means so much to me to have your support in keeping my little guy alive and healthy and I am forever be thankful.
