Frankie’s Friends Hope Fund helped Karou receive emergency treatment for a previous fracture repair at BluePearl in Waltham MA. This is a note from Karou’s family.
“Karou’s original surgery for his knees was upwards of $10,000. Even after that was covered, he still wasn’t out of the woods; he got an infection in his right knee and the pin inside was rejected, falling out before I had to bring him back to the emergency room. After that, I had to bring him in every other day for a bandage change to make sure that the infection was clearing up. He was a champ and it eventually did, but with it came another steep bill. When Frankie’s Friend’s stepped in, I wasn’t sure if I was going to be able to get him the care he needed. It was literally only because of the help of FF and the understanding staff of BluePearl that he’s walking around unhindered today.
