Frankie’s Friends Hope Fund helped Haku receive lifesaving surgery when he needed a limb amputation due to a cancerous tumor at BluePearl in Maitland FL. This is a note from Haku’s’ family.

Our 12 year old cat, Haku, has been our little buddy for as long as we can remember. He joined our family when he was this tiny, scrawny, mildly aggressive little kitten who has brought more joy to our lives than we can put into words. He has been there for countless major moments and milestones in our lives over the years and it is impossible to imagine our family without him. In February of 2022, we discovered a growth on Haku’s front left leg. We opted to surgically remove the tumor and had it biopsied, however, the results came back “inconclusive”. We were told it may grow back and we prepared ourselves. However, we recently (August 2022) discovered a large wound on the same arm in the same spot where the previous tumor had been removed. Upon veterinary inspection, we were informed that Haku has a malignant grade 2 soft tissue sarcoma that requires immediate medical attention. We have made sure there are no other tumors in his body and we were told that amputation of his front left leg was the best course of treatment. We have never and will never give up on our baby and we strongly believe that he has so much life left to live and will be able to make it through this with no problems. He is an otherwise completely healthy cat and this surgery will save his life. We are beyond grateful for the assistance provided by Frankie’s Friends, to help pay for this life saving procedure, as we would have otherwise struggled with the financial needs of Haku’s care. We will never be able to express how grateful we are to this foundation for keeping our family whole for years to come. Thank you so much! From us to you,
— Haku's Family
