Frankie’s Friends Hope Fund helped Henry with lifesaving emergency treatment for an urethral obstruction at BluePearl in Lee’s Summit, MO. This is a note from Henry’s family.

UPDATE

We took Henry in initially because he wasn’t able to go to the bathroom, and when we got him checked out, they said it would be we either treat him or euthanize him. Our family has two children and two fur children so we budget to make things work and sadly the bill was just too much for us.

We are so thankful and appreciative of your assistance, and can’t thank you enough for helping us bring our boy back home. Everyone at the urgent care and our vet’s office say Henry is such a sweet boy. When we were at the urgent care, the staff at the Blue Pearl were very compassionate and kind when helping us see if we qualified for your assistance.

Henry is back at home now, thankfully! He had to stay overnight at our regular vet to make sure he was eating and drinking and going to the bathroom enough.

Once he was home, he has been back to his sweet happy self, sitting in our laps and giving us happy chirps. The vet said he had a UTI, which is uncommon in male cats but (obviously) does happen.

Attached are more photos of our Henry, back at home where he is getting so much love. The first photo is from when we were in the exam room.

Again, thank you Frankie’s Friends! We are so thankful that you saved our sweet boy! We hope we can pay it forward someday!

Dear generous donors,

The Crawford family can’t thank you enough for your kindness in helping Henry stay Earthside. We have been lucky enough to have him for nine years in our family and now thanks to you, he will be able to live a long and healthy life with us still.

He loves “nesting” as you can see in the attached photo, as well as sleeping stretched out in a warm lap.

The staff at BluePearl in Lee’s Summit were all so very kind and helpful in this process. Our vet, Dr. Thorne went above and beyond helping us find an option that worked for everyone and also showed so much compassion to me while trying to grasp such an unfortunate and unexpected situation. Since Henry had to stay over the weekend she gave us updates on Henry’s condition at the beginning and end of her shifts and made certain we knew we could call at any time to check on him.

Again, I can’t express the gratitude for your generosity and hope to one day pay our good fortune forward. Thank you for helping us bring our boy home.
