“Dixie like so many found herself put out on the side of the road. The road just happened to be the one I reside on and she was let go in the ditch in front of our property. Dixie is a senior, and after I could not find an owner I took her to the vet for a check up. She was healthy except for being heart worm positive. It took a long time and I saved up enough to put her through the fast heart worm treatments. December of last year she was cleared as negative! I made a promise to this senior gal we would take care of her and I have. The mass appeared this year and due to job loss it’s out of my budget, however I want to make good on my promise. I am beyond grateful for the assistance and that others care as much as we do and Dixie can have this off her eye to prevent other local problems.
