Frankie’s Friends National Fund helped Kimbo receive the emergency cruciate repair surgery he needed to become mobile again. This is a note from Kimbo’s family.
“Kimbo started out as a foster dog. I had a boxer and wanted him to have a playmate without “getting another dog”. We lasted 3 weeks and I couldn’t take the anxiety I had when I had to drop him off at Petsmart for the adoptions every Saturday! I fell in love with him and adopted him. He has been by my side ever since. He is sweet and loving, the entire neighborhood loves him! He loves to play and run around and I think he is sad because he can’t do so and sometimes he forgets that he can’t run around and then the pain starts. I hate to see him in pain and just want to go on walks with him again. We were told this was arthritis when actually it was more serious. So, he has been in pain for a while. Even though he is almost ten years old, I believe he still has some good years left.”
