Frankie’s Friends Bonds Fund helped Axel receive specialty eye surgery. This is a note from his family.
“Thank you so very much. Axel is the most wonderfully lovable, affectionate dog we have ever been blessed with. He is a big part of our family and he has given me so much hope, love and strength during my battle with my condition, that I would love to give him a second lease in life, as he is otherwise healthy and strong. I was bed-ridden for a year when my condition initially presented and he was right by my side, giving me love and support and helping me get through those terrible days.
My young daughter and 8 year old son consider him their brother and they are distraught about his blindness and decline in quality of life. He is my husbands buddy and he’s not able to play and go out with him the way they used to because he has been very depressed and scared. I can’t imagine what he’s going through and how scared he is. Thank you for helping us give Axel his quality of life back and continue to be the source of love and support that he has been for us always. He is not our pet, he is our beloved family member and he means the world to us.
