Frankie’s Friends helped Stella receive lifesaving surgery for an intestinal blockage. This is a note from Stella’s family.

Being approved by Frankie’s Friends National Fund means more than the world to us. Stella has had a rough start to her life and is slowly beginning to trust people again. She was bred by a back yard breeder who decided it was too much work to have puppies, so they left her and her litter outside for the first 12 weeks of her life with no human contact, the most crucial time for socializing a puppy. Due to the lack of human contact as a puppy, it has been incredibly hard for Stella to trust anybody, no matter the amount of socializing we did for her. She has now started to come to me every day, jump on me and give me kisses. She loves to play chase and tug o war with her doggy siblings. She gets along with our pack so amazingly and is a part of our family. Stella deserves a long and happy life that she had a rough start to, a life where she feels comfortable in her own home. I adopted Stella when she was 13 weeks old and seeing the progress that she has made is incredible and I hope to see her one day be as sociable and cuddly as her brothers and sisters. Saving Stella and giving her the life she deserves is all I want for her, and I know if she were to be relinquished that she would not strive in a home and would not make it out of a shelter alive. Saving her life and letting her live a long and healthy life is all that we want for her. Thank you.
