Frankie’s Friends Hope Fund helped Jonathan receive emergency shoulder surgery at BluePearl in Appleton WI. This is a note from Jonathan’s family.

Jonathan did very well with his surgery. He didn’t really have any major issues post surgery. Jonathan had problems with walking due to his shoulders. His outcome a year from now if he didn’t have surgery, would’ve been him having more difficulty walking and he would have lameness of his joints.

Well, after him laying around with decreased activity, he’s now having more energy than ever! He’s running with his siblings and wanting to be outside playing. We have a much different dog here now. We will be enrolling in some classes again to refresh him on what he learned previously. He now will need to learn to tame himself down just a bit so I can walk him and not be blowing behind him like a helium balloon. Once we have his new classes completed, the hope is to have him help others with anxiety and depression in various community settings. That would be the goal anyway.

My family appreciates the help he received to have him get the surgery. I couldn’t sleep at night knowing if he didn’t get the surgery how he would be so disabled and continue in pain. It was heartbreaking! I don’t have to feel that way now as he’s doing well and very playful. When folks ask where to donate, I pass on what I know about donating to causes like Frankie’s Friends. I hope by spreading the word families like my mine can get the help needed. Thank you so very much!
