Frankie’s Friends National Fund helped Loki receive lifesaving persistent right aortic arch surgery. This is a note from Loki’s family.

UPDATE!

“Loki is finally home!!! We can’t say thank you enough for helping us raise the funds for Loki’s surgery. He has a long road to recovery, but to know he has a long life ahead brings us such joy. We are anxious to give him his first treats, bones, long walks, and all the things every dog deserves. With Loki being so sick his entire life he didn’t know what all he had missed, but we did. Each day we just prayed he would keep fighting while we worked hard to get this surgery. To have that weight off of our shoulders and to now enjoy showing him how amazing the world is such a huge blessing. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!!! When we can we will absolutely find a way to pay it forward!!! “

Loki has fought his whole life and is full of puppy energy. Receiving this grant means the world to us. Loki has been a companion for my service dog, Odin. Odin acted as a mother to Loki from the beginning and helped him learn how to be a dog. Loki is bonded to my husband and provides him company when I’m away working and have Odin with me. Having Loki as part of our family has brought us such great joy. We are eager to see all the potential that Loki has once he is able to act like a normal dog. Loki doesn’t know he’s different but every day when he struggles to eat/drink it is a reminder to us and just how short his life might be without this surgery. He deserves enjoy his meals and not experience pain/vomiting with each meal. Without amazing donors Loki wouldn’t be able to have the surgery and instead we would be saying goodbye to a 1 year old puppy. We can’t say thank you enough, and once we are more financially stable will definitely be paying it forward.
