Frankie’s Friends Bond’s fund helped Shepard receive an emergency Keratectomy and Corneal Sequestrum removal for severe ocular discharge and blepharospasm. This is a note from Shepard’s family.

I adopted Shepard 1 year ago this July and he has been not only my best friend but also my emotional support animal. I found out right after I got him that I am chronically ill with an autoimmune disease and unfortunately I am not getting any better. He has been such an angel and my savior and I could not have chosen a better angel as an addition to my family. He loves to follow me around and gives me kisses constantly and sleeps in between my arms at night. Your help with his procedure means the world to me and of course to him. I can only imagine the pain and discomfort he must be in and I have all but exhausted myself financially to try to help only to find out he has issues that need more than routine veterinary care. This procedure will provide him a better quality life and also save him from getting any worse. I know how important he is to me and I want him around for as long as possible. Your help is greatly appreciated. Thank you for helping me help my baby. Thank you so much and I appreciate everything you do.
