France’s Friends National Fund helped Taloola receive emergency TPLO surgery for a torn ligament. This is a note from Taloola’s family.

Taloola came to me unexpectedly, at 7 months old, after she was born a feral dog on the streets of Aruba. She was covered in scars, had zero trust in humans, and had clearly been through a ton of trauma in her short life.
She quickly became not only the smartest, sweetest, most protective dog I’ve ever had, but she has literally saved my life, just as much (if not more so) than the rescue, that brought us together, had saved her life.

Without getting into too much detail, I have health issues that were plunging me into the worst depression and despair that I’d ever known. But when she came along, we became akin to soulmates, and she has brought me from the darkest place into the happiest I’ve ever been. So, you can imagine how devstated I was, when she suddenly stopped being able to walk on her left hind leg, at only 3 years old. Taloola getting this surgery, to repair her injured knee, will not only improve her quality of life, by allowing her to walk, run, play, and BE A DOG again, but will also save her from a future of certain pain, as well as the continued degradation of her other legs, as they work to compensate for her separated ligament. She and I will be eternally grateful for any and all assistance that could help her to get the surgery she so desperately needs.
