Frankie’s Friends National Fund helped Lucky receive emergency surgery for a broken femur. This is a note from Lucky’s family.

Thank you to all who helped little Lucky. He has been through so much during his short time here on earth already. You see, he was found in the hood of a car at a car dealership and had a horrible injury to his leg. The femur was snapped completely in half at the femur head (into the hip). Originally, they thought he was going to need an amputation, but with further imaging the Veterinarians decided it wasn’t needed and that the femur head was just needing to be removed from the hip socket (femoral Head Ostectomy) and that iver time his body should heal with scar tissue acting as a joint. He should eventually have full function of the leg again. It’s remarkable how their bodies can do that and I was so relieved when I heard that this could be done. I’m thankful to the people who found him, the vet clinic who is able to help him, and all those who have helped donate to get him this much needed surgery. He is such a sweet boy who loves to cuddle and purr. I will make sure he has a happy and healthy life from this day forward.
