Frankie’s Friends helped Vultan receive lifesaving surgery for a toe amputation with a cancerous growth. This is a note from Vultan’s family.

Vultan is family! When he was still certified as our daughter’s service animal he literally went everywhere with us—church, grocery store, the mall, the park, and everywhere in between. Now that he is retired, he doesn’t get to the grocery store anymore (which he is most upset about—the SMELLS!) but he is still always around, always bringing joy into our lives. With his toe injury, he has definitely become depressed—because he is limited in all the ways that matter most: running, playing, jumping, chasing, fetching! We hate to see him this way. So we were over the moon to hear about Frankie’s Friends National Fund. We are so grateful that organizations and donors like Frankie’s Friends exist to help pets like Vultan and families like ours. Thank you! To see Vultan back to his energetic, happy-go-lucky self will be a priceless gift that will continue to give for the rest of his days. (Which, he still has plenty of!)
P.S. Of course, our family is thankful and grateful... but our cats will be too! They have noticed Vultan’s mood and they have tried to cheer him up. So I know they will be happy for him too!
