In Memory of My Beloved George

GEORGEINMAINE.JPG
My beloved George was born on the 4th of July, 2009, the 4th puppy of septuplets, and the only boy. His mother Virgie’s Freedom Septuplets were named, in order, after the Battles of Trenton and Princeton, which occurred in the last days of 1776, Saratoga, and then George, named for General George Washington, Martha for George Washington’s beloved wife, Brandywine, and Yorktown, where George Washington defeated the most powerful Empire on Earth, and did so much to establish the first nation in history founded on the basis of an idea; the idea that we are free; that government exists to secure and defend our God-given rights, and that we the People are Sovereign.

George was a big little boy; he weighed 152 pounds, and stood 36 inches tall at the shoulders. He never growled or snarled in all his life. He loved his sisters, and he loved me, and I loved him. He was an Official Mascot of the Association of American Physicians and Surgeons, and as such, he attended many meetings, all over this continent. He was an ambassador of love and mercy, to babies and children, elderly people, and all other animals and birds. He died suddenly at age 11 years, 1 month, and 11 days, on August 15th, 2020. This photo shows George at the left, with two of his little big sisters, Trenty, and Yorkie, in Maine in 2015.

We rely on the words of Christ “Behold I make all things new.
