In Loving Memory of Chocolatte “Chocolatte was our wonderful Sato, rescued from Puerto Rico, who quite literally grew up with my daughters, and brought joy and love to our family for nearly 13 years. She was known to jump up on the dining room table, despite with her short little legs, to grab a slice of her favorite food - - mangoes. She loved her walks around HER neighborhood — she owned it in no uncertain terms, and made that clear to every dog she passed with her jaunty little stride. She paraded around the house on Friday pizza nights carrying and then hiding her pizza crusts (aka “pizza bones”). A bit of herder by nature, she was alittle boss, who very early on claimed a wingback chair in the living room as her own, sitting and sleeping there at our level every day. Patient with my children when they were young, always in tune with each of separate emotional needs , beautiful, loving, loyal, and protective to the end. Chocolatte’s memory inspires us to try to be the people she believed us to be, and to help other families have what we had. We miss her and love her now and always. ” — Annica Jin-Hendel 1 Comment
