Tiny Thing’s owner went to a breeder to adopt one german shepherd puppy, and while she was there, she noticed another puppy that was much smaller than the others. When she asked about the puppy, the breeder told her she could have it for free because he had never done very well and seemed to be failing to thrive. Worried that the breeder would have him euthanized or give him away to someone else who might not take very good care of him, she agreed to take two puppies home.
Tiny Thing's family tried very hard to get him well, and after he continued to lose weight, their regular vet suggested they see a specialist. His family was unable to afford the surgery he needed but wanted to try and save him, so they raised money and worked overtime and were able to pay for his consults, the CT, and $3000 towards his surgery.
Frankie's Friends was able to get them the rest of the way. The whole family appreciated the help so much, and the children hand wrote thank you notes. Also, the kids have renamed him T-Rex now that they expect him to be around for a lot longer. They were initially calling him Tiny Thing because they didn't want to name him and get too attached if he didn't make it. It seems like they were attached from the 1st day he came home. These are handwritten thank you’s from T-Rex’s family.
