Frankie’s Friends Hope Fund helped Chalupa receive lifesaving surgery for a foreign body at BluePearl in Brandon, FL. This is a note from Chalupa’s family.
“I want to thank everyone at Frankie’s Friends and everyone who has ever donated to Frankie’s Friends for saving my best friend Chalupa. My mom found Chalupa as a 6-week old stray puppy who was not very healthy at all and I wasn’t sure what to expect. Chalupa grew up and he is now both me and my husband’s best friend. He has such a funny personality unlike any other dog I’ve ever met and he is so very special to me. When I noticed Chalupa was not himself I took him to the vet and he got fluids and some oral medicine. A few days later I came to the conclusion he wasn’t getting better so he needed to go to the emergency vet. I didn’t have much hope and I was trying to mentally prepare myself to say goodbye to this tiny boy that I loved so much. Then, Dr. Weeks at BluePearl animal hospital said she had one more option and that was Frankie’s Friends. Everything worked out and he had his surgery and he is recovering quite well now. Thank you Frankie’s Friends for helping me keep a very important member of my family with us for a while longer. You guys have truly made a miracle happen for me. I will never forget what you have done for me and for Chalupa.”
