Frankie’s Friends Hope Fund helped Winston receive the lifesaving emergency surgery he needed for a foreign body obstruction at BluePearl in Tampa FL. This is a note from Winston’s family.

We have a beautiful dachshund named Winston. I always dreamt of having doxies and my dream came true when I first got Oscar. He was lonely and a year and a half later we got him a brother, Winston. A few weeks ago, Winston was throwing up every other day. It was a little amount so we didn’t not think it was a problem. On Sunday, Winston kept throwing up and it progressed to worse by the evening. By 3AM Monday he was worse. At that point we decided to take him to the emergency vet at BluePearl in Tampa. By Tuesday afternoon Winston was getting worse and they conducted an ultrasound and found a “foreign material” causing an obstruction. My spouse wrks as a medical assistant and supports me while I complete my graduate degree and we did not expect to have a large bill with all of the care and surgery he required. Then we received the best Christmas gift; we got the best gift from Frankie’s Friends! Because of you we were able to lower the costs of his medical expenses. Thank you for bringing so much joy to us and helping us give weenie the best care he deserves!
