Frankie’s Friends National Fund helped Hoodie receive the life changing surgery she needed for a cystotomy for painful crystals in her bladder. This is a note from Hoodie’s family.

I am grateful for your organization and this fund. I have spent months worrying about how I’m going to fund my Hoodie’s surgery and finally, someone sent me your information. I am breathing a sigh of relief. But not just because I personally have the opportunity to apply for funds, but because countless other pet owners do as well. And I can only imagine the number of animals you have helped. Their very lives depend upon it.

I rescued Hoodie on the eve of Hurricane Sandy in 2012. She was a kitten wandering the neighborhood when she was spotted. Although approachable, she was still a little on the wild side, but I brought her in anyway. Once the storm passed, I could not turn her out. To this day, I am the only person she trusts to snuggle with her and even when she nips me, I know they are friendly bites. She is a wonderful pet, makes me feel loved and gives me someone to love in return. Without funds like yours, we would have nowhere to turn.

Hoodie and I thank you from the bottom of our hearts for this opportunity. With your help, I look forward to many more years with my soulmate.
