Frankie's Friends National Fund helped Belle, a trained service dog, receive emergency surgery for a ruptured cruciate ligament This is a note from Belle’s family.

UPDATE

We are incredibly thankful for the veterinary grant to help American Staffordshire Terrier (Pit Bull) Belle get the surgery she needed after an attack by the neighbor's dog.

Every dog is special, but Belle is truly life saving. She is my 9-year old daughter Ava's respiratory alert service dog and she has "worked" for 7 years. At 10 years old, Belle is getting into her retirement age, we want her to be able to continue the happy active lifestyle she is used to without pain or discomfort and the funds to help her have surgery absolutely helped her to do that.

We are so appreciative for generous donors and Frankie's Friends who help vulnerable families like mine access the care that that their furry family members need.

With gratitude.

Hello donors,

Belle, Ava and I thank you for your generous donation towards her surgery to repair ruptured cruciate ligament.

Belle has been Ava’s service dog for the past 7 years, and without her lifesaving midnight medical alerts, Ava would not be here. They are a team and Belle is a bright beautiful light in some really challenging medical situations Ava has had.

Your donation has helped us to preserve Belle’s quality of life so she may go back to helping Ava and when she is ready to retire, Belle will be able to be the happy, energetic, active dog that she typically is.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts,
— Belle's Family
