Frankie’s Friends helped Twiggy receive emergency surgery for a fractured leg. This is a note from Twiggy’s family.

Meet Twiggy, a tan and white, small Papillion-type dog that wandered into our home and our hearts several years ago. She is a 10 y/o rescue from homelessness literally off the streets in our neighborhood. She is fun, compassionate, loves naps, her favorite time is dinner and snack time, and she is a great family dog. The kids call her “baby”. What makes Twiggy such a necessary and wonderful addition to our family is that despite her small stature, she is the boss of our home. Of all our rescues, she is the most vocal, and quick-tempered. Even a bully at times to the other rescues, especially around food! However, she remains the most well-mannered and social of all five of our dogs. She loves the kids, the park, car rides, and snuggles. Twiggy loves to cuddle in the bed at nighttime and enjoys not going for a walk but riding in her dog stroller. Unfortunately, Twiggy had an accident. The aftermath of her untimely incident caused a fracture in her front left leg, leaving it broken. We have earnestly and hopefully tried to cast her leg over several 8-week sessions, in hopes that it would heal on its own. Regrettably, this treatment plan was not successful and failed. We are exhausted financially, but Twiggy still needs help. We’ve invested everything we possibly could and are still at a huge deficit. We are in financial hardship and appreciate you & are extremely grateful. Twiggy is at a local emergency vet in Sunrise, FL. Thank you from the bottom of all our hearts. This means a tremendous amount of gratitude & appreciation!
