Frankie’s Friends Hope Fund helped Mia receive emergency surgery for a fracture at BluePearl in Des Moines IA. This is a note from Mia’s family.
“Mia is doing wonderfully and pretty much fully recovered at this point. I can’t thank the wonderful staff and BluePearl and of course the amazing assistance from Frankie’s Friends enough. To say Frankie’s Friends is assistance is such an understatement. It was life changing not only for Mia but for my entire family as well. To give you some background on our situation we had called countless places trying to find a place that could take her on such short notice. I called 20-30 places all over to get her looked at. When we finally found BluePearl we were relieved but not sure what this would cost or how we would be able to manage this. We knew amputating her leg was not an option he because she was so young and wanted her to have a good quality of life. For that I will forever be indebted to you all. I will share some photos with you in hopes that my story will help find more donors to help others the way this program helped us!
