Frankie’s Friends helped Baymax receive the lifesaving surgery he needed for a urinary obstruction. This is a note from Baymax’s family.

I would just like to tell you how much it means to my family for our cat to be able to keep living his life as a very special part of our family. When we drove to a small town in WI one day in the beginning of 2020 we had decided to adopt a black cat since statistically they get adopted the least. When we arrived we saw our Baymax, up in a tiny cage all alone while all the other cats were roaming free. He was the only one caged up so we asked why. We were told he did not get along with other cats. We asked to meet him, so we visited him in the meeting room. We fell in love. He must have fell in love with us too because he was rubbing up on us as if to say bring me home. We did. He has quite the personality. He is very vocal. Always “talking” to us, meow meow meow. He also likes to be first every where he goes so he’s always under our feet. His most favorite time of the year is Christmas and his most favorite place is under the Christmas tree. I work with people with special needs and they like to come visit him and give him a pet. They like to pick him up and although he doesn’t like that he is so very polite that when they put him back down he stays right at their feet for more pets. He never hides away from his family he’s always sitting with us watching TV or cuddled up in bed at night. I don’t cry, but one day I was very sad, it was the first time and only time he saw me cry, he crawled right up on my chest and curled up and comforted me and made me feel better. He really is my best friend and I couldn’t imagine life without him. We just want to say thankyou so much from the bottom of our hearts for making it possible for us to keep our family member alive. Without this surgery he would not make it. Without your help I could not afford it. So thank you again. I will promise to pay it forward when I am able to in any way that I can.
