Frankie’s Friends Hope Fund helped Lizzie receive emergency surgery for a urinary port implant at BluePearl in Scottsdale AZ. This is a note from Lizzie’s family.
“Rob and I appreciate the help that Frankie’s Friends is giving us for Lizzie. We rescued Lizzie from the Maricopa Pound in November of 2019. She was scared and underweight. Our heart was taken with her. We brought her into her family and at first, we thought the leaking was from being in a new environment and she was scared. Has time gone by we found out that she was leaking urine. Dr. Ford of BluePearl has been awesome. When she did a surgery there were 3 uterus which she repaired. When Lizzie was spayed for some reason, they did not notice them. Lizzie has had several birth defects but she is so sweet and loving. Lizzie is an important part of our life. My husband has had 3 surgeries in the last 6 months and he is not able to walk without a walker or be in his wheelchair. I need to take care of Rob and do everything that needs to be done around the house. I worry all the time that I might miss a wet area and Rob might slip and fall. I won’t ever give Lizzie up she is important and it is not her fault that she daily deals with the leaking. Lizzie tries to take care of the wetness and she ends up with bladder infections or skin infections around her private parts. The surgery will improve Lizzie’s life and will give Rob and I relief that we won’t have to worry about falling all of the time. It will improve our life in so many ways. She is so gentle with my granddaughter and Gracie loves her so much. I rinse Lizzie off every morning to try and get the urine off of her skin so her fur is always wet and it is hard for Gracie to give her lots of hugs. Rob and I are so blessed that with Frankie’s Friend help and support that Lizzie will get better. Thank you so much for the gift to improve are lives.
