Frankie’s Friends helped Milo receive lifesaving wound care at BluePearl Stone Oak.San Antonio. This is a note from his family.

Milo is doing so well thanks to you! Im so relieved, after spending over a year constantly cleaning his wound and worrying that Id end up losing him. I’m so glad to not have to worry about him anymore and privileged to be able to watch him thrive and be a silly and happy boy. He really is my best friend and you gave him a chance at life when everyone else gave up on him. He sleeps with me every night and cuddles with my little sister every chance he gets. If you dont know his full story, I found him in a ditch last June and he was 3.6 lbs. Someone had dumped him leaving his toys and a blanket that he didn’t want to leave and his collar got jammed into his armpit ripping all the flesh out of it by the time I found him. From the moment I took him home he was the sweetest boy, always trying to get cuddles or headbutts no matter how much pain he was in. The vet initially said the best thing would be to put him down, but I saw how much he wanted to live and cleaned his wound every single day for 4 times a day, my vet tried creams etc, eventually saying they didn’t think they would be able to help anymore since I really didn’t have too much money. So, they referred us to BluePearl where they had a procedure that might work and I drove over there 2-3 times a week to the other side of town with what little I did have. Thanks to you, Milo is healthy and happy and chonky and finally through his year long ordeal. Thank you so much, we will always be greatful that ya’ll helped me give him a chance to have a long and fulfilling life. Ive attached a few of my favorite pictures of him since hes fully healed, I hope you adore them as much as I do!
