Frankie’s Friends helped Kumar receive lifesaving surgery for a urinary obstruction. This is a note from Kumar’s family.

Eight years ago, I fostered a litter of kittens only 4 days old. Kumar was one of them and has been part of our family ever since. He turned out to be much more than just a cat over these past eight years including supporting his special needs kitty sister, supporting me through six months of chemotherapy (see picture) as my family was all out of state, and perhaps most impressive of all, she saved the life of a foster dog. Gracie was foster that was falsely advertised as dog and cat friendly, and after an incident with another dog, the foster agency had scheduled euthanasia for Gracie. Our family (me and the fur-babies) didn’t give up on her, even after three weeks of her trying to eat Kumar. Kumar was best friends with my service dog of 13 years who had passed whom he had been glued to since he was able to jump around.) He was very confident that he could cat-proof this new dog. And sure enough he did! (See picture of Kumar’s rehab program success with Gracie.)

Through the trauma I’ve been through the past few years, Kumar has been key in helping reduce my own mental health symptoms and just knowing when to be by my side when I need him. It may sound dramatic, but there are days when he and his siblings are the only thing that get me out of bed in the morning.

Thank you for considering financially supporting Kumar so he can serve both humans and other animals for many years to come. He is beyond family.

Eternally grateful,
— Kumar's Family
