In Loving Memory of Sister

In memory of Sister - a sassy, daring, intelligent, intuitive Jack Russell Terrier who was known for playing ball, de-squeaking toys, barking at cows, long walks, hunting (rabbits, squirrels, and possums), patrolling the perimeter, deck duty, attacking the vacuum cleaner, attacking the water hose, going on car trips, giving kisses, and hanging out with her best canine buddy, Zoey (Louise to Sister’s Thelma). She wasn’t supposed to be mine, but came to me under the tragic circumstances of the unexpected, early death of her original owner. Even more than her big personality and playful antics, Sister loved me and my family so well. She was my loyal companion for these last nine years. She embraced life zealously and her presence was life-giving. I’m not sure who rescued whom. Sister, I will forever be missing you, but I am so grateful I got to love you.
